Moline, Ill. - The Thunder men's tennis team played its final match of the regular season on Saturday with a tough 5-4 loss to Augustana at the Quad City Tennis Club. Wheaton is 7-10 overall and 2-3 in CCIW play.
Each team won three singles matches as Thunder sophomore
Taylor Johnson won 4-6, 6-1, 6-2 at number-one singles. Freshman
Stephan Rauh was a 7-5, 6-2 victor at number-two singles and sophomore
Miles Greenwald won 7-6, 6-1 at number-six singles. Augustana's wins at number-two and number-three doubles proved to be critical in earning the 5-4 win.
Wheaton will compete in the 2011 CCIW Men's Tennis Championship next weekend at Evergreen Racquet Club in Bloomington, Illinois.
