Hanover Park, Ill. - The Wheaton College men's tennis team came out on top in a trio of three-set matches to defeat North Central College 7-2 on Tuesday. 

The Thunder ran its record to 7-9 overall and 2-2 in the CCIW while the Cardinals fell to 8-10, 3-2 in conference play.

With the matchup moved indoors to Centre Court Athletic Club, North Central took wins at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles. But Wheaton came out the victors the rest of the way, including winning a trio of matches that went to third sets.

Stephan Rauh, Joel Parrish, David Buursma, Corey Chan and Miles Greenwald all came out with wins in singles play. The doubles tandems of Taylor Johnson/Buursma and Parrish/Rauh were also victorious.

Wheaton will next face off against Augustana College and Simpson College starting at 9 AM on Saturday in Rock Island.
