Wheaton, Ill. - The Thunder women's basketball team will be the second-seed in the upcoming CCIW Women's Basketball Tournament that begins on Friday February 25 at top-seeded Illinois Wesleyan University. In Friday's semifinal action, the Thunder will face third-seeded Millikin at 5 PM and Illinois Wesleyan will entertain fourth-seed Carthage College at 7:30 PM. The CCIW Tournament Championship Game will feature Friday's winners on Saturday at 7 PM in Bloomington.

Wheaton has posted an 18-6 record this season, with an 11-3 mark in CCIW play. The Thunder have a 2-0 record against Millikin University, its opponent in the tournament's opening round. This is Wheaton's seventh appearance in the four-team tournament since it began in 2002-03. The Thunder won CCIW Tournament titles in 2003-04; 2005-06 and 2006-07.
