Kenosha, Wis. - The Wheaton volleyball team closed out its participation in the 2011 CCIW Volleyball Tournament on Friday in a 3-1 loss to top seeded Carthage on the Lady Reds' home court. Carthage won the first two sets 25-11 and 25-17. The fourth-seeded Thunder rebounded with a 25-18 victory in the third set, however, Carthage closed out the match with a 25-20 win.
Wheaton closes out the year with a 22-13 overall record. Carthage is now 29-6 on the year and will host third-seeded Elmhurst College at 2 PM on Saturday in the CCIW Tournament Final.

Emily Buyse led the Thunder with 10 kills and also added a team-high five total blocks. Freshman
Megan McKinley collected eight kills and senior setter
