Wheaton, Ill. - The Wheaton College volleyball team hosted University of Chicago on Firday night, with the guest Maroons earning a 3-1 victory. Chicago won the first set 25-20 and Wheaton responded to win the second set 25-19. The Maroons took a 2-1 lead by winning the third set 25-16 and the guests secured the victory by rallying for a 29-27 win the decisive fourth set.
Chicago, ranked 16th in this week's AVCA Division III Top 25, is now 20-2 on the year. Wheaton is 12-8 on the campaign. The Thunder will host Elmhurst College on Tuesday night at 7 PM in a key CCIW match for both teams.

Megan McKinley led Wheaton on Friday night with 20 kills and she added 14 digs. Junior
Cassie Murphy tallied 16 kills and she added 17 digs, with four total blocks.
Jenna McCallister distributed a team-high 44 assists, with seven kills and four total blocks.
Kaitlyn Novosad led the Thunder with 18 digs and sophomore
Emily Buyse added nine total blocks
