Elmhurst, Ill. - The Wheaton volleyball team posted a 3-1 record this weekend at the Elmhurst Invitational. Wheaton began the tournament with a 3-0 (25-14, 25-20, 25-15) win against Lawrence University. In the final session of Friday night, the Thunder fell to #16-ranked University of Chicago, 1-3 (14-25, 27-25, 26-24, 18-25). Wheaton rallied to defeat UW-River Falls, 3-2 (20-25, 18-25, 25-20, 25-14, 15-11) in the opening match on Saturday, The Thunder bested UW-Plattevile, 3-1 (24-26, 25-14, 25-21, 25-19) in the final match of the day.

Jenna McCallister (PICTURED RIGHT) was named to the all-tournament team at this weekend's tournament. Wheaton is now 18-12 on the year. The Thunder will travel to North Park on Tuesday night for a conference match against the Vikings.
In the victory against Lawrence, freshman
Megan McKinley led the Thunder with nine kills. Senior setter
Jenna McCallister recorded 28 assists and
Kaitlyn Graham Novosad had 25 digs.
Emily Buyse and
Lindsay Stein each made two total kils in the match.
McKinley led the Thunder in the match against Chicago with 12 kills and she also had three service aces. McCallister had 34 assists and junior
Cassie Murphy made a team-best 17 digs.
Wheaton rallied from a 2-0 deficit to defeat UW-River Falls, 3-2 (20-25, 18-25, 25-20, 25-14, 15-11) in the opening match on Saturday. McKinley led the Thunder with 14 kills and McCallister distributed 39 assists.
Hannah Graber recorded three service aces, while the trio of Buyse, Stein and McCallister each had three blocks. Novosad was Wheaton's digs leader with 33 in the match.
In the win against UW-Platteville McKinley had 14 kills, with five service aces. McCallister had 45 assists and Novosad contributed 21 digs and Buyse tallied eight total blocks.
