Bloomington, Ill. - The Thunder volleyball team won a critical CCIW match at Illinois Wesleyan on Tuesday night. Wheaton topped the Titans 25-21 in the first set. The guests won by nine in the second set with a 25-16 advantage. The Thunder closed out the match by winning the decisive third set 25-20.
Wheaton is now 15-11 overall and 3-3 in CCIW play. The Thunder will be at the Elmhurst Invitational this Friday and Saturday. Wheaton will conclude its scheduled CCIW matches next Tuesday night at North Park.

Megan McKinley led the Thunder with 12 kills and she added three blocks. Junior
Cassie Murphy added seven kills and freshman
Lindsay Stein had six kills with four total blocks..
Kaitlyn Novosad recorded a team-best 22 digs , senior
Jenna McCallister distributed 32 assists and
Emily Buyse tied Stein for the team lead in blocks with four.
