Garrett Meador earns CCIW Offensive Football Player of the Week

Wheaton, Ill. - Wheaton College's Garrett Meador was named the CCIW Offensive Football Player of the Week on Monday. This is Meador's second selection as the Offensive Player of the Week in the conference. He also earned the honor for his role in Wheaton's season-opening victory against Albion on September 10.

Meador, a senior quarterback, completed 32-of-46 passes for 445 yards and four touchdowns in the Thunder's 49-21 win over Elmhurst on Saturday. The 445 passing yards were a career-high and the most by a Wheaton quarterback in more than 10 years. In addition, Meador distributed the four scoring passes to three different receivers as Justin Zeller (124), Teddy Watkins (140) and Mark Hiben (103) each went over 100 yards receiving.

So far this season, Meador has completed 64.6 percent of his passes for 1,460 yards with 14 touchdowns and four interceptions.
