Bloomington, Ill. – The Wheaton Thunder women's basketball team lost a conference matchup at Illinois Wesleyan on Saturday night, 87-70. Wheaton is now 13-10 on the season, with a 6-6 record in conference play. Illinois Wesleyan, ranked third by d3hoops.com, is now 22-1 overall and 11-1 in CCIW play.
Wheaton will return to action on Tuesday night with a 7:30 PM tipoff at home against Millikin University. Tuesday night's game is the final home game of the regular season for the Thunder and it will be “Senior Night” for the hosts. The women's basketball ball team will also be hosting a WBCA “Pink Zone” event, for breast cancer awareness on Tuesday night.
The Titans led 42-36 at halftime of tonight's contest and the hosts' lead bulged to as many as 20 points late in the second half.

Sarah Jones scored 11 points, with 10 rebounds, five assists and four steals. Freshman
Brooke Olson also scored 11 points, while junior
Annie Bowen and freshman
Jennifer Lee each scored 10 points respectively.
Kelly Brooks scored nine points, with six rebounds for the guests and #Elisabeth Potts added eight points.
Stacey Arliss scored 26 points to lead Illinois Wesleyan. Hope Schulte scored 15 points and Nikki Preston contributed 15 points for the hosts.
Wheaton recorded a 40% (24-60) field goal percentage, with 30.8% (4-13) from three-point range and 72% (18-25) at the free throw line. The Titans shot 45.9% (34-74) from the floor, with 22.7% (5-22) from behind the three-point arc and 73.7% (14-19) at the free throw line. The Thunder out-rebounded the hosts 45-37, with a 17-15 edge on the offensive glass.
