Whitewater, Wis. - The Thunder men's tennis team opened its spring season on Friday with a pair of matches at UW-Whitewater's "Warhawk invitational". Wheaton lost its opening match of the year in a 6-3 defeat to Hope College. UW-Whitewater topped the Thunder 9-0 in Friday's nightcap.

Wheaton will return to action on February 20 when the Thunder hosts Olivet Nazarene University at Centre Court Athletic Club in Hanover Park, Illinois.
