Naperville, Ill. - The Wheaton College wrestling team took on three teams in dual matches and went 0-3 at the North Central College Quadrangular on Saturday.
In the first match of the day vs. North Central College, Wheaton lost 52-0. The second dual of the day ended similarly as Heidelberg University was the winner 57-0. The final match of the day ended with a victory for Cornell College, 49-4.
Matthew Cordell picked up the lone win on the day for the Thunder with an 11-3 major decision over Cornell's Ryan Roberts at 157 pounds. Wheaton forfeited five weight classes throughout the day.
After some time off for the holidays, the Thunder grapplers will resume action at 10 AM on January 8 at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Duals.
