Conference titles and CCIW Tournaments on the line in four sports this weekend at Wheaton

Wheaton, Ill. - This weekend will feature four Wheaton College sports teams battling for CCIW Conference Championships and CCIW Tournament Championships, with NCAA Postseason bids on the line at home.

On Saturday at 1 PM, the No. 12-ranked Thunder football team hosts No. 5-ranked North Central College in the “Battle for the Little Brass Bell” at McCully Stadium. Both teams enter the game undefeated and the winner will clinch a share of the CCIW title. At 5 PM, the No. 1-seeded Wheaton women's soccer team, the 2010 CCIW Champion, takes on No. 2-seed Illinois Wesleyan University in the Women's CCIW Soccer Tournament Championship at Joe Bean Stadium. The winner of that game will receive an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament. At 7 PM, the No. 1-seeded Thunder men's soccer team, the 2010 CCIW Champion, takes on No. 2-seed North Park University in the Men's CCIW Soccer Tournament Championship at Joe Bean Stadium. Likewise, the winner of that game will also receive an automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament. Also on Friday, the No. 5-seed Wheaton volleyball team will travel to No. 1-seed Millikin University at 7 PM for the CCIW Tournament Semifinals. The winner will advance to the Tournament Final on Saturday.

All events are free to Wheaton College students.

Valid Wheaton faculty and staff ID, along with Wheaton season passes and parents passes are good for admission to the football game. General admission to Saturday's football game is $6 for adults, $4 for senior citizens and children.

Per CCIW Tournament rules only students from participating CCIW member schools will be admitted to the soccer games for free.  Admission for all CCIW Soccer Tournament matches is $6 for adults, $3 for seniors and students. CCIW Students with proper ID are admitted free of charge, no CCIW parents passes shall be honored and kids under 12 are free.
