Wheaton, Ill. – Wheaton College junior Jordan Langs has been named the CCIW's “Player of the Week” on defense in football for his efforts in helping lead Wheaton to a 29-19 victory against Illinois Wesleyan last Saturday. Wheaton is currently 4-0 on the year, with a 1-0 CCIW record and ranked 18th in this week's D3football.com Top-25 poll and 17th in the AFCA Division III Coaches Poll. Wheaton will return to action on Saturday at 1 PM when it travels to Elmhurst College for a 1 PM kickoff against the Bluejays.

In Saturday's 29-19 Wheaton victory against Illinois Wesleyan, Jordan Langs played a key role. Wheaton forced five Titan turnovers and three of them were by the junior. He intercepted two IWU passes in the game with returns of 16 and 25 yards respectively. Langs' second interception came with 2:35 left in the game at the Illinois Wesleyan 39-yard line, ending the Titan's chances for a rally. He also recovered a fumble and registered three total tackles, including two tackles for lost yardage (-8 yards).

Langs has made 11 total tackles this season, including seven solo stops. He has two interceptions and two tackles for lost yardage this season. In his three seasons as a linebacker and defensive back for the Thunder, Langs has registered 58 total tackles, including 40 solos. He has six career tackles for lost yardage (-24 yards) to his credit.
