Wheaton, Ill.
- In its Homecoming game, the Wheaton College men's soccer team lost 1-0 to University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh on Friday.

The Thunder falls to 2-6-3 on the year while the No. 16-ranked Titans improve to 10-0-1.

The game got off to a rough, physical start and stayed that way for the duration. A total of 53 fouls were called and seven yellow cards were given out (five to Wisconsin-Oshkosh) over the course of the match.

In the 16th minute, Oshkosh's Tony Starns got behind the defense to score unassisted from the left, 10 yards out. The Titans got another great chance to extend the lead in the final two minutes of the half with a one-on-one chance in the box. But the shot hit the right post and the rebound shot went wide.

Wheaton pushed on offense with more urgency in the second half and got into the box on several opportunities.

Goalkeeper Ryan Seager kept the game close with four saves on the night, including a huge save off a shot in the box in the 79th minute. However, Wheaton couldn't find the equalizer against the Titans' James Pike, who made two saves for the win.

Wisconsin-Oshkosh led in shots 12-7 and in corner kicks 3-2. Josh Clark led the Thunder offense with three shots.

Wheaton kicks off the CCIW conference schedule versus Elmhurst College at 7:00 PM on Wednesday.
