Kalamazoo, Mich. - The Wheaton College volleyball team ran its win streak to four straight matches with a 3-1 win
(Boxscore) over Trine University and a 3-0 sweep of Kalamazoo College
(Boxscore) on Saturday.
The Thunder improved to 5-2 on the season.
In the first match of the day against Trine, Wheaton won in four sets 25-22, 25-18, 22-25, 25-15.
Sarah McWilliams led Wheaton's attack with 18 kills while
Paige Narr added 11 kills and
Abby Huebner tallied seven kills.
The Thunder defense got 19 digs from
Jenna McCallister, who also had 47 assists from the setter position.
Ashlie Pace contributed 17 digs.
In the second match against Kalamazoo, the Thunder stayed on a roll and recorded the victory 25-18, 25-22, 25-23. McCallister scored a team-high seven kills to go with 21 assists. Pace tallied 18 digs while McWilliams totaled 15 digs and five aces.
The Thunder kickoff the CCIW conference schedule on Tuesday with a 7:00 PM match at Illinois Wesleyan.
