Elmhurst, Ill. - The Wheaton College volleyball team lost in straight sets 3-0 at Elmhurst College on Tuesday in the CCIW Tournament Play-in Match.

The Thunder finished their season with a 17-16 record. The Bluejays improved to 17-16.

No. 5-seed Wheaton and No. 4-seed Elmhurst played each other once earlier in the year as the Bluejays won that match 3-1 back on Sept. 17.

On Tuesday night, Elmhurst came out on top again 25-20, 25-20, 25-15. Hannah Velling led Wheaton with nine kills while Sarah McWilliams and Cassie Murphy scored five kills each. Jenna McCallister tallied 24 assists and 11 digs. Ashlie Pace also compiled 11 digs.
