Naperville, Ill. - The Wheaton College volleyball team dropped a 3-0 match at North Central College on Friday (25-8, 28-26, 25-17).
The Thunder fell to 14-13 overall and 2-5 in the CCIW. The Cardinals improved to 27-3 overall and 5-1 in conference.
After North Central ran away with the first set, Wheaton battled back in the second but just came up short.
Sarah McWilliams led the Thunder with eight kills on 21 attempts (.381 hitting percentage) while
Lindsay Johnson and
Abby Huebner added four kills each.
Jenna McCallister tallied 18 assists and 11 digs.
Cassie Murphy totaled 11 digs and three blocks.
Ashlie Pace had 10 digs and Johnson contributed three blocks.
Wheaton continues its schedule with a Senior Night home match at 7:00 PM on Wednesday vs. University of Chicago.
