Wrestling continues win streak with 25-20 victory at Augustana

Chase Campbell improved his record to 7-0 on the season
Rock Island, Ill. - The Wheaton College wrestling team won its fourth-straight dual match with a 25-20 victory at Augustana College on Wednesday.

The Thunder improved to 5-4 in dual meets while the Vikings fell to 1-6. After an 0-3 start to the season, Wheaton has won six of its last seven dual meets.

The Vikings jumped out to a 20-6 lead after the first five matches. But the Thunder's upper weights held sway and won the final five matches of the night to secure the victory. Down one point going into the final match, Chase Campbell got a pin at heavyweight to keep his undefeated season going. The senior improved to 7-0.

Jeff Coners, Justin Marble, Justin Tomal, Toby Boltz and Matt Griffiths picked up the other five wins for Wheaton.

The Thunder return to action this weekend at the North Central College Invitational, starting at 3:00 PM on Friday.
