Wheaton, Ill. - Wheaton College volleyball owned the home court and used it well with two victories on Saturday to win the Wheaton Invitational. The Thunder went 4-0 on the weekend.

Wheaton improved to 10-8 overall and 7-1 at home. The Thunder have now won eight of their last nine matches.

In the first match, Wheaton beat UW-Stevens Point 25-20, 21-25, 27-25, 25-16.

Ashlie Pace led team with 12 kills and 21 digs. Lisa Jutsum added 11 kills, 14 digs and 13 assists. Hannah McGinnis had four blocks. Jenna McCallister tallied 27 assists and 14 digs. (BOX SCORE)

In the second match, Wheaton defeated Claremont-Mudd-Scripps 25-23, 22-25, 25-16, 27-25. The Thunder put up their best offensive effort of the weekend, scoring 59 kills and hitting .255 for the match.

Hannah Haskell paced the offense with 11 kills while McCallister added 10 kills on 19 attempts. McCallister also had 38 assists. Justum and Stefanie Ryan totalled 16 digs. Kelli Miller totalled four blocks. (BOX SCORE)

Pace was one of seven players selected to the All-Tournament team. The sophomore outside hitter/defensive specialist tallied 42 kills and 51 digs in four matches.
