Grand Rapids, Mich. – The Wheaton women's soccer team improved to 4-1 on the season with a 2-1 overtime victory at Calvin College on Wednesday afternoon. Wheaton entered the match ranked 11th in this week's
NSCAA Division III Coaches Poll and Calvin (4-2-1) is 14th in the same poll.
Calvin took an early 1-0 lead when Emily Ottenhoff put the ball into the net, just 3:37 into the match. Wheaton tied the game at 1-1 when freshman

The two teams battled through scoreless soccer for the remainder of regulation soccer, to send the contest into overtime. The Thunder managed to convert the game-winning scoring opportunity with just 10-seconds left in the first overtime when a

Ann Turner. Turner headed the ball into the net for her first collegiate goal and the Thunder victory.
Wheaton out-shot the Knights 13-9 and held a 12-3 edge in corner kicks. Sophomore goalkeeper
Ingrid Erickson played all 99:50 in the Thunder net as she made four saves and allowed one goal. Alyssa Bergsma played in the Calvin net for the first half of the match, making one save and she allowed one goal. Kayla Sulzer played the final 54:50 of the match with one save and she allowed Turner's game-winning goal.
The Thunder will host
