Elmhurst, Ill. - Wheaton College volleyball split its two Saturday matches to finish 2-2 at the Elmhurst College Invitational over the weekend.
The Thunder ran their record to 13-14 on the season.
In the first match, Wheaton defeated Judson in straight sets 25-21, 25-19, 26-24. Lisa Jutsum led the offense with 13 kills while adding 12 digs. Sarah McWilliams added nine kills and eight digs while Hannah Haskell and Kelli Miller each scored eight kills. Ashlie Pace rounded out the match with 17 digs and Jenna McCallister tallied 30 assists.
The second match went to the wire. The sets kept alternating as Chicago won the first set 25-18 and the third set 25-16. Wheaton won the second set 25-23 and the fourth set 25-21, but the Maroons took the deciding set 15-10.
Jutsum and Haskell led the team in kills with 16 kills each. McWilliams collected nine kills, 14 digs and three blocks. Pace led the the team with 17 digs while McCallister tallied 45 assists and 15 digs.
