Decatur, Ill. (9/14) – Millikin raliied to defeat Wheaton on Thursday night in the CCIW opener for the Thunder. Wheaton fell in a 2-3 (29-31, 30-25, 30-25, 23-30, 12-15) loss to the Big Blue. Wheaton is now 6-4 overall and 0-1 in the CCIW, while Millikin is 9-1 overall and 2-0 in league play.

Sophomore Kelli Miller led the Thunder with 11 kills and five total blocks. Fellow sophomore Lisa Jutsum added 10 kills. Junior Leah Whiteley had a team-high three service aces with 20 digs and sohomore Mallory Sullivan collected 33 digs. Freshman Elizabeth Fox recorded four total blocks.
