Skidaway Island, Ga. (3/10) - The Thunder men's golf team opened its spring season on Saturday by hosting the "Wheaton Spring Break Classic" a two-team tournament with Blackburn College at the Marshwood Golf Course in Skidaway Island, Georgia. Blackburn shot a 332 to best the 341 that was carded by the Thunder.
The top golfer was Blackburn's Chad Harrell with a 77 on the day. Wheaton junior Chip Wedgeworth was second with an 80, followed by Blackburn's Russ Leverenz in fourth with an 82 and Wheaton freshman James Futrell shot an 85 in fourth place.
