Wheaton, Ill. (10/30) – Wheaton College senior Tim March has been named a CCIW Football “Co-Player of the Week” on defense. March earned his recognition for his efforts in Wheaton 's 34-0 victory against Elmhurst at home on Saturday afternoon. Wheaton is now 7-1 on the year, with a 4-1 record in CCIW play and tied for first in the conference along with Augustana and North Central.

March was an instrumental part of the first shutout of the season by the Wheaton defense. March made six total tackles, with four solos and a tackle for lost yardage (-1 yard). The team captain recorded a key play in the second half when he intercepted an Elmhurst pass and returned it 64 yards for a touchdown.

For the season March has recorded 30 total tackles, with 21 solo stops. He has intercepted three passes on the year, with six more passes broken-up.
