Wheaton, Ill. – Wheaton College junior Noah Dreyer has been named the CCIW Football “Player of the Week” on offense. Dreyer and the Thunder are ranked 21st in this week's D3Football.com Top 25 Poll. Wheaton is now 2-0 on the season following a 48-7 win against Washington (Mo.) last Saturday afternoon.
Dreyer had a career-best day in the victory against the Bears as he caught nine passes for 98 yards with three touchdown catches. Dreyer scored Wheaton 's first two touchdowns in the win as he gave the Thunder a 14-0 lead. The junior was critical to a Wheaton offensive attack that passed for 307 yards and had 441 yards of total offense. Washington came into Saturday's game ranked fifth in Division III in yards allowed. It was a breakout game for the junior who entered the contest with 14 catches for 101 yards and one touchdown catch.
