Kenosha, Wis. - The Carthage volleyball team defeated Wheaton 3-1 (30-17, 30-24, 23-30, 23-30) on Saturday afternoon in a CCIW match. Carthage is ranked 10th in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III Coaches Poll. Wheaton is now 14-7 overall and 2-3 in league play. The Thunder will return to action on Wednesday night at 7 PM in a non-conference match against Judson College in King Arena.

Junior Mallory Sullivan led the Thunder with team-highs of 16 kills and 23 digs. Kelli Miller recorded 12 kills and Lisa Jutsum added 11 kills. Junior setter Annie Himmelhaver (PICTURED) distributed 46 assists and senior Leah Whiteley-Rupp added 17 digs.
