Bloomington, Ill. (10/7) –The Thunder women's golf team concluded the fall portion of its 2006-07 schedule with a fourth-place finish this weekend at the two-day CCIW Women's Golf Championships at Prairie Vista Golf Course in Bloomington, Illinois. Illinois Wesleyan won its fifth straight conference championship with a two-day score of 644, Augustana had a 681 in second place, Millikin finished third with 696 strokes, Wheaton shot 704 in fourth place, Carthage finished fifth with 715, North Central took sixth with 755 and North Park was seventh with 847 strokes.

Freshman Brittany Bronson (PICTURED) finished seventh with a two-day total of 167 to earn All-CCIW honors. She shot an 84 on Friday and followed that with an 83 on Saturday. Wendy Woudenberg finished 13th with a 93 on Friday and an 80 on Saturday to record a two-day total of 173. Julie Yonkus shot a 91 each day to tally a two-day total of 182 in 19th place. Senior Megan Turnball tied for 21st with a two-day total of 186 and Jenny Speckman tied for 23rd as she shot 187.
