Chaz Black enters his seventh season at Wheaton as an assistant running backs coach in 2021. Chaz was a standout four-year letter winner as a running back for the Thunder from 2003-2006, averaging 112 yards per game throughout his career and currently ranks sixth all-time on Wheaton's single season rushing list. He was a team captain his senior year and was selected to the All-Region team. 

After graduating from Wheaton College in 2007 with a degree in Business/Economics, he spent several years in film production as an actor, stunt man and celebrity trainer in Los Angeles. Currently, he enjoys his career leading financial advisors at Thrivent with former teammate, Dan Studebaker.

Chaz, his wife Hillary and son Charles, live in Winfield, Illinois.
