Wheaton College Athletics

Hayes Wilkerson is a senior on the Wheaton men's swim team. Wilkerson was a CCIW Champion in the 200-meter freestyle as a sophomore and has earned five All-CCIW honors. Below is a brief interview with Hayes.

Q: What is your major?
 
A: Business/Economics
 
Q: What (if any) plans do you have after graduation?
 
A: I am going to try and find a job in the Wheaton/Chicago area but I'm not entirely sure what type of work I'll end up doing. 
 
Q: Why did you choose to swim at Wheaton?
 
A: I wasn't actually planning on swimming in college but I had such a great time visiting the team that I told myself if I came to Wheaton I would swim. 
 
 
Q: What do you enjoy most about Wheaton?
 
A: Being able to train and compete with a brotherhood of Christians is something I will miss the most when I graduate. It is a great blessing to be able to grow spiritually and athletically with this team. 
 
Q: What is your favorite swimming memory so far in your time at Wheaton?
 
A: Last year our team won the CCIW championship for the first time in several years. Everyone had amazing races and it was the perfect way to end the season.
