A Second Team All-CCIW selection in 2011, Suzanne Teuben is a senior on the Thunder softball team. Below is a brief interview with Suzanne.
Q: What is your major?
A: Applied Health Science
Q: What (if any) plans do you have after graduation?
A: May 14th I am moving back home to Southern California and on May 20th I start my job as a Physical Therapy Technician at a local clinic. I will also be working with my youth group and applying to Physical Therapy schools for the 2014 school year.
Q: Why did you choose to attend Wheaton and play softball?
A: My senior year of high school I decided I wanted to leave California and play softball at a Division III school. After months of talking with the then head coach Chris Hudson and meeting the team, I knew Wheaton was the perfect school for me. I jumped at the opportunity to play with a group of people who love Jesus and earn a college degree from a prestigious school.
Q: What do you enjoy most about Wheaton?
A: The softball team. I get to be a part of the team whose primary goal is to glorify the Lord. How awesome is that? We pray before and after games, we have small groups, we went on a missions trip to the Dominican Republic, and we just get to do life together.
Q: What is your favorite softball memory so far in your time at Wheaton?
A: This question is like asking a movie fanatic to pick a favorite movie; it’s nearly impossible! I have so many wonderful memories from my four years with these beautiful women. Since it is so fresh I’ll go with beating Auggie for the first time this season in 12 years. But I also loved each of our Spring Break trips, our missions trip, and Easter Sundays spent as a big family.
