Wheaton College Athletics

Brooke Olson is a senior on the women's basketball team and was recently named the CCIW Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the second time this season. Below is a brief interview with Brooke.

Q: What is your major?
 
A: Elementary Education
 
Q: What (if any) plans do you have after graduation?
 
A: As of now I do not have many concrete plans after I graduate. I do know that I plan to be living in the area either living with friends or back at home. I want to be close to home so that I can continue to strengthen relationships with each one of my family members and so that I can support my little brother in his athletic events.
 
Q: Why did you choose to attend Wheaton and play basketball?
 
A: After becoming a Christian late during high school I made the decision that it was most important to attend a Christian school, Wheaton College. I’m close to my family, at a Christian school, I can play basketball and receive a great education. Wheaton offered everything I needed, that is why I’m here.
 
Q: What do you enjoy most about Wheaton?
 
A: I enjoy the people at Wheaton the most. Wheaton is a place with tons of awesome people. Since my time at Wheaton coaches, physical plant workers, professors, and saga employees have impacted my life. Yet the three people that have impacted me most since being at Wheaton have been my roommates. We were put together at random junior year and since living in Terrace junior year we’ve been besties, and it has been one of the biggest blessings to have them around.
 
Q: What is your favorite basketball memory so far in your time at Wheaton?
 
A: Winning against Illinois Wesleyan in double over time in the 2011-2012 season.
