Wheaton alumnus Stephen Golz signs on to play professionally in Sweden

Wheaton, Ill. - Stephen Golz, a December 2015 graduate of Wheaton College, recently signed a professional contract to play soccer for FC Lidköping United in Sweden's Division 2 professional league. He is the third member of Wheaton's 2015 team to sign a professional contract joining Marshall Hollingsworth and Elliot Borge.

A 2014 Division III All-American selection by both the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and D3soccer.com, Golz was also a CoSIDA Division III All-American three times in his career. In four seasons at Wheaton, Golz scored 49 career goals with 11 assists for 109 total points. He is tied for sixth on Wheaton's career goals list and ninth in total points. His 21 goals as a junior in 2014 is tied for ninth on the program's single-season scoring list.
