Four Wheaton College baseball players have been selected to the ABCA/Rawlings All-Central Region baseball team. Brian Kolb earned First Team All-Region honors, while junior pitcher Tim Urbanowicz was a Second Team honoree, as freshman Ryan Miller and sophomore Steve Dennison, each received Third Team recognition.

Marietta, Ohio – Five members of the Wheaton track and field teams competed at the Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships this weekend. Seniors Brandi McNeil earned All-American recognition in the women's javelin throw and senior David Larson earned All-American honors with a sixth-place finish in the men's pole vault. Fellow seniors Stephanie Solari (javelin), Michelle Cameron (800-meters) and Lisa Baumert (5,000-meters) also represented Wheaton during the weekend-long event.

Wheaton, Ill. – Wheaton College (Ill.) Athletic Director Dr. Tony Ladd has announced the hiring of Jim Gruenwald as the head wrestling coach for the Thunder wrestling team. He replaces Dan Weber, who served the program as its head coach for one season.

Wheaton, Ill. – Five Thunder student-athletes will be representing Wheaton this weekend at the 2009 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio. Competition for the three-day event begins this Thursday.
