Elliot Borge, an All-American midfielder for the Thunder men's soccer program, recently signed a professional contract with Sweden's Myresjo Vetlanda FK. Borge is the second Thunder player in as many months to sign a professional contract following
Marshall Hollingsworth's signing with Columbus Crew SC.

A four-year starter at midfielder for the Thunder, Borge is a three-time National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Central Region selection. He was named a Second Team All-American following Wheaton's national runner-up effort in 2014. He was also named to the NCAA All-Tournament Team. Borge was a First Team All-CCIW honoree in all four seasons in the "Orange and Blue".

In his career Borge tallied nine goals and 14 assists helping Wheaton to win four consecutive CCIW championships. In his time with the Thunder, Wheaton posted a record of 72-16-8 compiling a 79.2% winning percentage.
