As a NCAA Championship event no free passes (season passes, parents passes, student ID’s or faculty/staff ID) will be accepted. Admission to each session is $6 for adults, students (ages 12 and up) are $3, senior citizens are $3, ages 3-12 are $2 and children two years old and younger will be admitted for free.

CENTRE COLLEGE 2, OHIO WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY 1 (2 OT)
Wheaton, Ill. – The Centre College men’s soccer team was a 2-1 winner against defending NCAA Division III Champion Ohio Wesleyan in overtime of a NCAA Division III Tournament First Round Match on Friday night at Joe Bean Stadium on the campus of Wheaton College. Centre advances to Saturday night’s Second Round Match at 7:30 PM (CST). The Colonels will face the winner of Friday’s other first round match at the site between Wheaton and Transylvania.
Ohio Wesleyan scored the first goal when Kit North put the ball into the net off of a Matt Shadoan assist for the Battling Bishops in the 43rd minute. Ohio Wesleyan led the Colonels 1-0 at halftime.
Centre’s Ryan Garvey tied the match at 1-1 with a goal that came from a Cameron Miller assist in the 71st minute. The two teams played the remainder of regulation tied at 1-1.
Neither team scored in the first overtime, a session that saw Ohio Wesleyan take four shots and Centre took three. Garvey took the first shot of the second overtime, a little more than three minutes into the period. He blasted the ball into the back of the net off of an Austin Greer assist to win the match.

CENTRE COLLEGE COLONELS
Centre is making its fourth NCAA Division III Tournament appearance and the program's first since 1999. Head coach Jeb Burch, a former Centre goalkeeper, is in his 11th year as head coach and has a 141-49-18 overall record.
Centre went 14-3-3 overall this year with a 5-1-1 record in the first year of competition in the Southern Athletic Association. Centre tied with Berry for the regular season SAA championship, gave Berry its only conference loss and advanced to the conference championship game where it fell to Berry on penalty kicks. During the season, the Colonels defeated Covenant and Emory to win their home tournament, the Bob Allen Nissan Classic.
Individually, Ryan Garvey (PICTURED RIGHT) has set single-season school records with 19 goals and 42 points on the season so far. Garvey leads the SAA and ranks 12th in the NCAA in both goals and total points. Garvey comes into the tournament having scored in seven of the last eight games with 11 goals during that stretch. His next goal will tie Centre's career record. Also, Robbe Tarver's 11 assists lead the SAA and rank eighth nationally.

OHIO WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY BATTLING BISHOPS
Ohio Wesleyan (13-2-5) received an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III tournament. The Battling Bishops won the North Coast Athletic Conference championship with a 7-1-1 record, then advanced to the championship game of the NCAC tournament, with the NCAC's automatic qualifier going to DePauw on penalty kicks.
Ohio Wesleyan was ranked No. 19 in the NSCAA Division III poll dated Oct. 30 and was No. 21 in the d3soccer.com poll dated Oct. 30. Ohio Wesleyan is making its NCAA-record 35th Division III playoff appearance. The Battling Bishops won the NCAA Division III national championship in 1998 and 2011 and have made nine appearances in the national semifinals.
Colton Bloecher (PICTURED RIGHT) leads Ohio Wesleyan with 12 goals and six assists for 30 total points. Kit North has contributed six goals with two assists on the year. Brian Schaefer has five goals and three assists for the Battling Bishops. Goalkeeper Paul Hendricks has recorded 10 shutouts the season, with a goals against average of 0.70.

TRANSYLVANIA UNIVERSITY PIONEERS
Transylvania (16-1-2) earned its NCAA Tournament berth by winning the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference's (HCAC) automatic bid with a 4-1 victory against Anderson University in the HCAC Tournament Championship Match. The Pioneers head into the NCAA Tournament with a six- match winning streak and the squad is unbeaten in its last matches .Transylvania is be making its seventh NCAA appearance under head coach Brandon Bowman and its first postseason appearance since the 2010 campaign.
Transy’s 16 wins are the most for a Transylvania team since the Pioneers went 16-3-3 in 2009. The all-time single season record for wins at the school is 17, set in 2003. The Pioneers have won three straight Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference titles, all with identical 8-0-1 records.
Transylvania junior Kyle Smith (PICTURED RIGHT), the HCAC Offensive Player of the Year in 2012, led the HCAC in scoring this season with 18 goals and four assists. Christian King has scored nine goals, with four assists for 22 total points. Eric Froschauer has tallied seven goals, with seven assists for 21 total points on the season. Goalkeeper Taylor Nossokoff has a goals against average of 0.68 on year and he has recorded seven shutouts.

Wheaton (15-3-3) earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, by winning the CCIW Tournament last Saturday. The Thunder and North Park tied 1-1 in the CCIW Tournament Championship match, however, the Thunder earned the tournament bid with a 4-1 edge in a shootout. The Thunder posted a 6-0-1 record in CCIW play during the regular season to win the program’s 17th CCIW Championship.
The Wheaton men’s soccer program has made 32 NCAA appearances since the Division III Men’s Soccer Tournament began in 1974 and is second in the tournament’s history for most appearances, behind Ohio Wesleyan. Wheaton is 40-28-3 (.585) all-time in the postseason, with five Final Four appearances and National Championships in 1984 and 1997.
Sophomore Adam Blackman (PICTURED RIGHT) leads Wheaton with 10 goals and four assists, earning CCIW Player of the Year honors. Freshman Marshall Hollingsworth, the CCIW Newcomer of the Year, tallied seven scores with two assists. Sophomore Noah Anthony has distributed a team-best nine assists. Goalkeeper Ryan Seager has registered five shutouts, with a 0.97 goals against average.
