Wheaton, Ill. – A pair of former Wheaton standouts on the gridiron return in 2018 for the upcoming Thunder football season. Head coach
Mike Swider has announced the addition of Adam Dansdill and Andrew Bowers to the coaching staff. Both Dansdill (2014 and 2015) and Bowers (2016) were voted team MVP by their teammates during their Thunder playing careers.

Dansdill (PICTURED LEFT), a defensive assistant in 2016, returns to the same role for the 2018 season. A two-time CCIW Defensive Player of the Year (2014 and 2015), Dansdill also received All-America recognition in his junior and senior seasons. A three-time All-CCIW selection, Dansdill tallied 318 career tackles, including 27 tackles for loss, with six sacks, 22 pass breakups, and four interceptions. As a senior in 2015, Dansdill tallied 115 tackles including 14 tackles for loss as a First Team All-American pick by both the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) and D3football.com. A Second Team All-American pick by D3football.com in 2014, Dansdill recorded 133 tackles including seven tackles for loss and one sack in his junior campaign.

Bowers (PICTURED RIGHT) is a two-time All-CCIW performer at quarterback for the Thunder, twice earning CCIW Offensive Player of the Week recognition. He is 11
th in Wheaton history with 4,429 career passing yards with 42 touchdown passes in his tenure. He completed 60.2% (302-of-502) of his career passing attempts; and is ninth in program history in total offense with 5,409 total yards. He ran for 980 career yards with 10 touchdown runs. As a senior in 2016, Bowers led Wheaton to a NCAA Playoff appearance with 2,489 passing yards on the season. He registered 179 completions on 287 passing attempts and 26 touchdown passes in 2016. He helped lead Wheaton to a CCIW Championship and Division III Playoff appearance as a junior in 2015. Bowers threw for 1,738 passing yards and 14 touchdown passes in 2015.
