The Wheaton football program welcomes 38 newcomers for the 2018 season

Wheaton, Ill. - Head coach Mike Swider and the Wheaton College football staff have announced the addition of 38 newcomers that have submitted their deposit to attend Wheaton College, with the intent to play for the Thunder football team beginning in the fall of 2018.

Swider says of the group, "The 2018 Wheaton Football program welcomes the addition of 35 freshman and 3 transfers. They will represent our team well and help continue our tradition of excellence over the next four years. As has been the case for a long time, these new athletes have been drawn to Wheaton because of its commitment to a conservative, Christian education as well as the opportunity to play football for a proven winner with other believers. January transfer Will Smith (RB) from Baker University trained and practiced with us this past semester. Transfers Tae'Shawn Gibbs (WR/DB) of the University of Louisville and John Bickle (P) from University of St. Thomas will join us in August. These 37 recruits come to Wheaton from 17 different states. You can read where they are from as well as see their football highlights below."
