Chicago, Ill. - University of Chicago edged the Thunder wrestling team 21-18 in a dual match on Wednesday night. Wheaton is now 4-4 in dual matches this year, while the Maroons improve to 7-2.

Wheaton's Carlos Fuentez won by forfeit at 125-pounds. Chicago picked up victories at 133-pounds, 141-pounds, 149-pounds, 157-pounds and 165-pounds. Caleb Odell gave Wheaton its second victory of the night by winning an 8-4 decision against Chicago's Matt Shoub at 174-pounds. Isaac Odell pinned Nick Ferraro at the 2:59 mark of their match at 184-pounds for Wheaton's third win of the night. It marked his NCAA Division III-leading 13th victory by fall this year. Wheaton's final victory of the night was a 3-2 decision for Grant Miller over Patrick Mulkerin at 285-pounds.

The Thunder will return to action on January 16 when North Central visits King Arena for a dual match.

Editor's Note: Wheaton will not be participating in this weekend's "Spartan Mat Classic" at Manchester University which was originally on the team's schedule for this Saturday.
