Ryken's Rowdies to host hurricane relief drive on Saturday

Wheaton, Ill. - The official Wheaton student section, Ryken's Rowdies, is organizing a Hurricane Relief Drive on Saturday, September 16, to collect donations to aid in hurricane recovery efforts in Texas and Florida. They are seeking donations of lightly used clothes and shoes as well as school supplies, hygiene products, child toys and are also accepting cash donations. Tables will be set up at Joe Bean Stadium and McCully Stadium to receive donations. Fans are asked to bring their donations in bags or boxes to assist with organizing the items upon collection. All fans bringing five or more items to donate at either soccer game will receive free admission to Saturday afternoon's soccer games. Wheaton boasts roughly 30 athletes hailing from areas affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.

Saturday's action kicks off at 1:30 pm with the Wheaton men's soccer team hosting Luther College. The Thunder women's soccer team will face Luther beginning at 4:30 pm. The action then shifts to McCully Stadium where the fourth-ranked Thunder football team will host Carthage College with a 6 pm kickoff in their home opener.

For any questions regarding Saturday's Hurricane Relief Drive, please email Ryken's Rowdies.
