Chicago, Ill.- The Wheaton wrestling team won its first dual meet of the season on Thursday night with a 27-11 victory at the University of Chicago. Wheaton's only losses came at 141 pounds and 285 pounds. Wheaton will next compete at the Knox Invitational on Saturday. The next dual meet for the Thunder will be a neutral site meet against Alma College at Allendale High School in Allendale, Michigan.

Wheaton's Tom Foy (PICTURED RIGHT) and Gregory Manfredi II won close decisions at the lower weights. In the middle weights Mark Savenok (157), Stephen Aiello (165), Matt McCrary (174), Dan Olsen (184) and Mitch Steed (197) were victorious via decision.

William Byrd had the lone fall for the Thunder with a pin at 4:14 at 149 pounds.
