Rock Island, Ill. - The Wheaton wrestling team competed in a pair of dual matches on Friday night at Augustana College's Carver Center. Wheaton opened with a 38-15 victory against Knox College. The host Augustana Vikings defeated Wheaton 31-13 in the final match of the night. Wheaton stands at 5-7 in dual matches on the year.

In the 38-15 win against Knox, Wheaton received wins from Tom Foy (125-pounds), Mark Savenok (157-pounds), Luke Sims (165-pounds), Matt McCrary (174-pounds), Dan Olsen (184-pounds), Darren Faber (197-pounds) and Mitch Steed (285-pounds). Against Augustana, the Thunder received wins from Savenok, Olsen and Faber.

The Thunder will host the Pete Willson-Wheaton Invitational next Friday and Saturday.
