JD East will be a participant at the
2011 D3 Senior Classic on Friday night in Salem, Virginia. The D3 Senior Classic brings players who represent 238 D-III football programs, to a North vs. South format All-Star game the first week in December each year in Salem, Virginia. Friday's game will kickoff at 7 PM (EST) at Salem Stadium, the site of the 2011 Stagg Bowl to determine the NCAA Division III Champion.
East is a defensive end and long snapper for the Thunder the past four years. Earlier this week, he was named to the D3football.com All-North Region Third Team as a defensive end.
East tallied 36 total tackles at defensive end for the Thunder this season. He registered a team-best 8-1/2 tackles for lost yardage (-37 yards), including 4-1/2 quarterback sacks (-31 yards) over Wheaton's 10 games of his senior campaign.
A two-time All-CCIW selection, East played in 35 varsity games over his four-year career at Wheaton. He registered 124 total tackles in his Thunder career with 65 solo stops. He has 23-1/2 tackles for lost yardage (-108 yards) with 9-1/2 career quarterback sacks (-69 yards)
