Wheaton, Ill. - Wheaton College head men's basketball coach
Mike Schauer has announced his team's recruiting class for the 2017-18 season. The nine students, hailing from seven different states, have submitted a deposit to attend Wheaton College in the fall with plans of playing for the Thunder men's basketball team.

The class has size and versatility at several positions. As is usually the case for Wheaton Basketball this group comes from all over the country. Wheaton Basketball should be very good in the upcoming years."
The newcomers with plans to join the Thunder in 2017-18 are:
Nyameye Adom (Orlando, Fla./University High School) - A 6' 1" guard, Adom earned All-Central Florida Third Team honors as a senior. In his final season at University High School, he averaged 19.9 points, 4.2 assists and 5.8 rebounds per games. Adom picked up First Team All-Metro Conference honors, was a Metro Conference All-Academic Champion, Scholar Athlete of the Year in boys basketball and conference "Winter Athlete of the Year". A three-time team captain, Adom reached the 1,000-point milestone in his high school playing career.
Cade Alioth (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Mechanicsburg High School) - Alioth is a 6' 6" forward, earning Third Team All-State recognition. The Mid-Penn Keystone Player of the Year, Alioth averaged 18.5 points per game as a senior and his 985 career points ranks fifth all-time in school history. He collected 13.3 rebounds per game in his final high school season and his 826 career caroms ranks him as Mechanicsburg's all-time leading rebounder. Jack Bennett (Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton North High School) - A 6' 2" guard, Bennett earned honorable mention All-DuPage Valley Conference (DVC) recognition as a senior at Wheaton North. He averaged 10.4 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game in his senior season with the Falcons. A team captain for the Falcons in 2016-17, Bennett helped lead Wheaton North to a program-record 24 victories in the 2016-17 season.
Will Davidson (Fort Wayne, Ind./Blackhawk Christian School) - A 6' 3" wing, Davidson is transferring to Wheaton from Trinity International University where he played in 35 games as a freshman in 2016-17. A three-year starter at Blackhawk Christian School, he helped lead the program to three-consecutive sectional championships. An honorable mention IBCA All-State and IBCA Academic All-State pick in 2016; Davidson averaged 14 points, 6.4 assists and 5.5 rebounds per game as a senior. He concluded his high school career ranked in Blackhawk's career top-ten in: points, assists, steals, three-point field goal percentage and free throw percentage.
Gavin Hawkins (Little Rock, Ark./Episcopal Collegiate School) - Hawkins is a 6' 8" forward. As a senior at Episcopal Collegiate School, Hawkins averaged 11.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocked shots per game. He shot a 53% field goal percentage in 2016-17, helping lead the team to the Arkansas 3A State Championship. A team captain, Hawkins was named to the All-Tournament Team of the Arkansas state tournament, and also earned All-Conference recognition.
Zac Holman (Grand Haven, Mich./Grand Haven High School) - A 6' 4" guard, Holman earned All-State honorable mention recognition as a senior at Grand Haven High School. He averaged 17 points, five assists and four rebounds per game in 2016-17 in earning First Team All-Conference recognition.
Daniel Ray (New Era, Mich./Western Michigan Christian) - A 6' 8" forward, Ray averaged 13 points and seven rebounds per game as senior. He earned First Team All-Area, First Team All All-Conference and Muskegon Chronicle All Dream Team accolades in his senior campaign. He served as a four-year team captain at Western Michigan Christian High School.
Collin Uveges (South Elgin, Ill./South Elgin High School) - A two-year team captain at South Elgin High School, Uveges is a 6' 1" guard. He averaged 11.2 points and 3.1 assists per game as a senior in earning All-Area honorable mention recognition and All-Conference honorable mention honors.
Chris Wright (Gilbert, Ariz./Higley High School) - A 6' 0" guard, Wright was recognized as the divisional "Offensive Player of the Year". He averaged 16.5 points, 3.0 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game in his senior campaign at Higley High School, earning First Team All-Conference recognition. A three-year team captain in high school, Wright reached the 1,000-career point milestone.
