Wheaton, Ill. - The Wheaton Athletics Department will debut a new partnership with Sunrise Communications in 2015-16 to provide HD-quality online video of Wheaton Thunder sports. These online-only broadcasts will be available through links at athletics.wheaton.edu and at Wheaton's online video portal through Stretch Internet.

Wheaton Athletics and Sunrise Communications will provide live online broadcasts for more than 50 home sporting events in 2015-16, including football, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's soccer, volleyball and the finals of the Pete Willson-Wheaton Invitational. Sunrise not only has the ability to provide HD-quality broadcasts, but also enhanced graphics for game clock and score, replay capabilities and events can also be archived.

Sunrise Communications is a well-respected provider of online video content and currently works with Elmhurst College and Benedictine University to provide live online broadcasts of sporting events at those institutions.

With the enhancements of online broadcasts, Wheaton sports will no longer be available on WETN-FM (88.1) in the Wheaton area or on WETN-TV (Channel 72 on Comcast in the Wheaton area). Each broadcast and the schedule of events will be available at http://portal.stretchinternet.com/wheaton and the Wheaton Athletics website.
