Naperville, Ill. - The Thunder men's and women's track and field teams were well-represented on Thursday and Friday at North Central College's Dr. Keeler Invitational. No team scores were kept at the two-day "last-chance" meet which is intended to feature athletes who are trying to establish qualifying marks of the upcoming NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

James Waterman finished second in a 54-man field in the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase. His school-record time of 9:04.35 is the eighth-fastest time in Division III this year, putting Waterman in position as a likely qualifier for the Division III Track & Field Championships May 22-24 in Delaware, Ohio.
Brett Haffner finished fourth in an 85-man field in the men's 1,500-meter run. Haffner's time of 3:50.85 is the 16th-fastest time in Division III this year and puts him in a strong position to qualify for the Division III Championships. His effort on Friday is the fourth-fastest time in school history in the 1,500-meter run.
Nils Eastburg posted a time of 48.77-seconds to finish fourth in the men's 400-meter dash.
Christian Hollinger had a toss of 15.33-meters to finish fourth in the men's shot put.
Tommy Cole finished fifth in the men's 400-meter hurdles with an effort of 54.00-seconds.
Jordan Tuin had the top effort for the Thunder women's program at the event. She posted a time of 11:00.87 to finish fifth 3,000-meter steeplechase. Tuin's time on Friday is the third-fastest time in school history in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
