NABC Coaches' Division III All-American Team

Tyler Peters has been named to the Coaches' Division III All-America Team by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). Peters, who was honored as the NABC's "Midwest Region Player of the Year" yesterday, earned First Team All-American recognition from the organization. He helped lead Wheaton to a 21-9 record this season and an appearance in the "Sweet 16" of the NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Tournament.
Peters led the Thunder with an average of 20.9 points per game this season, shooting 50% (197-394) from the field. The Thunder guard distributed a team-best 4.6 assists per game. The 2014 CCIW Most Outstanding Player, Peters averaged 5.5 rebounds per game this year. His 607 points this season is 10th on Wheaton's single-season scoring list.
In 14 CCIW games this year, he averaged 20.1 points per game, finishing second in the conference in scoring and his 3.4 assists per game in conference action ranked third in the league.
Peters played in every game for the Thunder in his four-year career, moving into a tie for second place on Wheaton's all-time games played list with 114 contests in that time. Peters ends his career in 11th place on Wheaton's all-time scoring list with 1,549 points and he is fifth on the all-time list assists list with 407 assists. Peters is fifth on the program's all-time free throws list with 435 made free throw attempts.
