Wheaton, Ill. – Wheaton College's
Lauren Schlabach has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Player of the Week in women's tennis. Schlabach, a sophomore at Wheaton, has compiled a 9-2 record in singles play this year and a 10-2 mark in doubles action.
Schlabach defeated Coe's Gia Poynter (6-4, 6-1) on February 23 and Kalamazoo's Kelsey Moran (5-7, 6-0, 6-2) on March 2 at number-three singles. Schlabach also picked up a pair of wins with teammate
Erika Nelson at number-three doubles, beating Calvin (8-2) on February 22 and Coe (8-6) on February 23.
