A-Turf® artifical turf. The turf and lights are expected to be completed, with hopes that the Thunder will begin play at the newly re-named Lee Pfund Stadium at Legion Field againt North Park on April 7.
The addition of lights and artificial turf is combined with construction this spring of new dugouts, a suspended cable backstop and a wall as part of the backstop.
Fundraising is ongoing for the next phase of the project, which includes chairback seating for 242 spectators, a pressbox, restrooms, a locker room and a concession stand.
