Lindsey Brenneman named to CCIW Player of the Week

Wheaton, Ill. - Wheaton College's Lindsey Brenneman has been recognized as this week's CCIW Women's Basketball Player of the Week. It is the second time in her career that Brenneman has earned the recognition.

Brenneman, a senior guard, scored a game-high 17 points in a 63-52 victory against North Park last Saturday. She also grabbed four rebounds in the winn, with two assists.

Brenneman is averaging a team-best 12.1 points per game this season. She has shot 39.1% (45-115) from three-point range and has a team-best 84.9% (45-53) free throw percentage. She is averaging 3.0 rebounds per game, with two assists per game.

In Saturday's win, Brenneman became the 16th Wheaton women's basketball player to reach the 1,000-point scoring milestone as she now has 1,005 points in her four seasons with the Thunder. Her 82.7% career free throw percentage is the third-highest mark at the charity stripe in school history.
