Tim McCrary was named the CCIW Men's Basketball Player of the Week on Monday. He also earned Player of the Week on December 13.
McCrary, a junior power forward, helped lead the Thunder to a pair of CCIW road victories last week as he averaged 22.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game. The All-American shot 56.7 percent (17-of-30) from the field, with 4.5 assists and two steals per game. On Thursday, McCrary led the Thunder to an 80-60 victory at Carthage College with 26 points, 12 rebounds and six assists. The Thunder won a 64-55 decision at North Park University on Saturday behind a team-high 19 points with 11 rebounds from McCrary. With a pair of double-doubles on the week, McCrary now has nine on the season.
So far this season, McCrary leads the team with averages of 16.5 points, 9.7 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game. He is also shooting 55.2 percent from the field.
The junior forward is also climbing the Wheaton career records list in a number of categories. He stands 34th in points (1,129 ), 11th in rebounds (619), and eighth in assists (297).
